our context is your key
Need a mid-session break? Why not play a set of badminton? How about a hike in our local hills? Or a splash in one of many nearby lakes?
At Airtime, we believe that it's easiest to create beautiful music in a beautiful setting.
You can feel good about recording at Airtime. We are committed to sustainable practices and minimal impact on our land: we reuse our building materials, tap into geothermal energy, and double-filter our sweet Indiana water so that you never have to buy those cheap plastic bottles.
We are located on the highest ridge in Monroe County. We're less then a mile from Morgan-Monroe State Forest, with its vast network of trails; two miles from Lake Bryant; five miles from Lake Lemon; eight miles from Lake Griffy; and twenty miles from Lake Monroe. The summers a vivid green, and the fall colors are so brilliant that people come to our county from all over the world to snap pictures.
This beautiful geography provides ample outlet for any runners, hikers, bikers and nature-lovers who are recording. But if you need a breath of fresh air in your session and don't have time to go adventure, we have a tree swing in the maple tree, a hanging geodesic pod that seats 8, cornhole in the garden, a badminton net on the lawn, hammocks, lounge chairs and plenty of shade!
As serene a retreat as Airtime is, you might be surprised to find that we're only forty-five minutes from the Indianapolis International Airport and fifteen minutes away from Bloomington, a lively college town with it's vibrant restaurant and music scene (not to mention convenience stores for that toothbrush you forgot!). We're also thirty-five minutes from Nashville, Indiana- a thriving artist community with boutiques, music venues, and charming restaurants.
